25th August 2008. Silhouette Karts are proud to announce the launch of a new model to our range of Race Karts. The Silhouette T32 is designed for use with 125cc electric start motors including the Parilla Leopard, Rotax Max & PRD Fireball. Silhouette Karts would like to congratulate Jordan Kaye on an excellent result in the Junior National Light class. In his first race meeting in the newly released Silhouette J28 chassis Jordan caused a stir by finishing the final in 2nd place only 0.1 second behind the leader.
27th June 2008. Silhouette Karts are proud to announce the launch of our new range of Race Karts. We have two models available for order now and we will be adding further models soon. For more information please go to the 'Race Karts' section. 2nd April 2008. As of today the new AKA 43 control airbox becomes compulsory for those racing at AKA race meetings. This new airbox features an internal filter to better protect your engine from dust & dirt. We have these new airbox's in stock so beat the rush & get yours now! 20th March 2008. We now have in stock Strike clutches to suit Yamaha KT100S & KT100J motors. These clutches are also used on the new Yamaha KT100SEC (electric start) motor. We also have the Strike starter's to suit these clutches. So if you are tired of pushing ask about these products in our shop. 3rd March 2008. Today Silhouette Race Karts team test driver Glenn Riddell raced our new prototype Silhouette chassis for the first time in the Senior National Pro class. 2nd & 4th place finishes in the two 8 lap heats placed Glenn on grid 3 for the 12 lap final. At the start of lap 5 Glenn moved into the lead and slowly pulled away to stretch the lead out to about 10 kart length's at the end to give our new chassis a winning debut! 24th January 2008. Silhouette Karts are proud to announce that we are now supporting three Formula SAE teams. We are continuing our support of Melbourne University and Monash University from 2007 and we are extending our support to include Victoria University for 2008. The teams of engineering students will be using our track as a test facility during the year in preparation for the competition at the end of the year. Silhouette Karts are proud to announce that we are now supporting Monash University engineering students. The Monash Motorsports Team will be using our track as a test facility for their Formula SAE car. This means we are now supporting two Formula SAE teams as Melbourne University have been using our facilites to develop their new car since March. 28th June 2007 We would like to introduce our 'CLUB RACER' range of Karting apparel as our first product line under the 'Silhouette Karting Gear' brand. Check them out here. 25th June 2007 Silhouette Karts is proud to announce the launch of our new line of equipment & apparel for Karts called 'Silhouette Karting Gear'. We will be specializing in high quality products designed especially for Karts at extremely economical prices. 18th March 2007 ANZAC DAY. The track will be open from 1pm - 10pm on Wednesday 25th April 2007. 23rd March 2007 The track will be closed on Good Friday 6th April 2007. We will be operating as usual for the rest of the Easter weekend including Easter Monday. The price has been reduced by $300 dollars! We are now selling this engine for $1650.00. 12th March 2007 Silhouette Karts are proud to announce that we will be supporting University of Melbourne engineering students during 2007. We have also installed a state-of-the-art Dorian electronic timing system (as used by the V8 Supercars). 1st July 2006 Owner Drivers - Our engine rebuild pricing has been restructured to include full engine run-in as well as track test & tune. This ensures all engines rebuilt by us are run-in correctly & tuned for optimum performance. Luke’s double-stint contributed significantly to the result which now sees Russell leading the Championship with three rounds to go. 11th September 2005 Silhouette Karts would like to congratulate Luke Youlden on his 7th place finish in a rain affected Sandown 500 co-driving with Russell Ingall in the Stone Brothers Racing Caltex Havoline Ford. 1st September 2005 We have decided to extend our ‘Winter Evening’ special rate for owner-drivers. This is good news for those of you who have a Kart and like to come down just for the evening session from 6pm—10pm. The rate is staying at $30 per kart which is a saving of 25%! June 2005 Silhouette Karts has featured in an article in Issue #11 of Street Machine Commodores magazine. The article titled ‘Caught Lapping’ involved bringing V8 Supercar star Garth Tander back to where his career began; in Karts. Garth put one of our 2-Stroke Hire Karts through it’s paces and even raced against Silhouette mechanic Gary Brown who gave Garth a good run for his money! |
